Bright side of a Dark Side by ~Scars-Stock:iconScars-Stock:

It wasn't her long dark hair, that made me remember her most. Nor was it her one blue eye and one brown. It wasn't her height, nor her weight. It wasn't her scar she had run across her back from her right shoulder to her left, or the scar on her nose, that went from the inside of her left eye to the right tip of her lips. It was her smile and laugh that I remember about her most. She was always smiling or laughing, no matter what. She could always see the bright side of things that most couldn't.

"What happened this time?" I asked, pointing at a dark blue spot on her neck in the shape of hands.
"Oh you know, I slipped and fell," she said laughing. It was kinda of funny how she always said that and it was so easy to tell that wasn't true, but so many fell for it.
"Oh yea? What really happened?" I taped the spot next to me on the floor, silently asking her to sit.
"Oh you know he got mad again because he didn't have his beer," she said smiling and sitting down right in front of me.
"Did it hurt?" I slightly squeaked out.
"Na, it kinda of tickled," she giggled lightly, poking me in the side. "One day I will be out of here, and I will be better prepared then other girls my age of what is out there."
"This is true. But, sweetheart I wish it wasn't so," I sighed, pushing myself off the floor and walking to the table sitting in the middle of the room, leaning against it slightly. "Would you like something to drink?"
"May I have a glass of water?" She laid out on the floor. I couldn't help but stare at her for just a secont. She was so graceful and beautiful.
"Ice or no?" I started walking to the kitchen.
"Ice please," I heard her sigh as I reached for a glass cup that was sitting on the island. I quickly filled it up with ice and water and walked back into the room to find her sitting up.
"Here you go my princess," I said bowing and handing her the glass.
"Thank you," she giggled out. Her soft light pink lips touched the rim of the glass as she took a small sip and set the glass down.
